Roofing and Cladding
MEC 1 Mechanical Works Process Trains and Inlet Facilities

Year

2014

With all materials procured by the client, this project demanded precise logistical planning and careful coordination with multiple interfacing trades. The arrival of pre-fabricated modules from overseas at fixed dates left no margin for error ,all cladding works had to be completed within a strict sequence after modules were installed.

To maintain programme and ensure other trades retained access to shared work areas, Textum Roofing introduced night shift operations, a testament to our team’s flexibility and commitment to keeping the project on track.

Roof installation followed conventional methodology ensuring full compliance with site safety requirements throughout.

Wall Cladding presented additional complexity, with each sheet crane-lifted into position and secured by workers operating from EWPs. Trade interface challenges were managed proactively through daily coordination meetings, aligning all parties on the following day’s work fronts.

Safety was the highest priority for all stakeholders, from client to head contractor. Through daily supervisor meetings, internal toolbox talks and an unwavering team commitment to safe work practices, the project was completed without a single incident, and to the high standard of finish Textum Roofing is known for.
